Mentoring Applications and Hacking Workshop for April 2025

Here are a few mentoring-related updates.

Yesterday, I posted a call for applications for the one-on-one mentoring program to pgsql-hackers. Please see the email for full details.

Please consider joining us in April for a discussion of my talk How Autovacuum Goes Wrong: And Can We Please Make It Stop Doing That? from 2024.pgconf.dev. You can sign up here. For those not familiar, this is just a chance to discuss a pre-recorded talk that is relevant to PostgreSQL hacking with one or more senior PostgreSQL contributors. You don't have to be an expert hacker already, but some people who attend are. We try to accommodate participants at all levels.

Looking forward, I do not plan to schedule a hacking workshop in May, due to 2025.pgconf.dev. However, if you're interested in hacking on PostgreSQL, I encourage you to attend that event. There will be far more talks about hacking and far more hackers in attendance than you will find at any other event.
